Okorocha advises FG to declare state of emergency on economy
The executive governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, has advised the federal government to declare state of emergency on the economy.
Okorocha, in an interview with the Leadership admitted that the nation’s economy is in comatose and called on the government to first make emergency resuscitation measures.
The governor called on all Nigerians to work together in resuscitating the dying economy.
In his words, “There’s nothing wrong with that, in fact, we have to declare a state of economic emergency right now in Nigeria and all hands must be on deck to fix the economy of this country.
“For some of us and I think for all Nigerians who travel out, we know that we need to stand up and avoid sentiment and face the issue.”
